TJ's 2nd Birthday Card

Here is my son's 2nd Birthday Card, Guest Sign In Sheet & the Napkin that inspired the whole party theme.

I used BoBunny Wasabi Double Dot & Blueberry Stripe cardstock with Bazzill Black Prismatic cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used an EK Success Zig Zag border punch, CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge, Zooballoo Cricut Cartridge, B is for Boy Cricut Cartridge and Cuttin' Up Cricut Cartridge.

I also used My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental About All Smiles stamp set with CTMH Black Ink.

For the Guest Sign In Page, I used Me & My Big Ideas Mambi Sticks Stickers for the moustache and I don't remember what Cricut Cartridge I used for the font.

TJ's 2nd Birthday Invite

This was my son's 2nd birthday invitation. The theme of his party was moustaches because I found a cute birthday line at the Hobby Lobby in Duluth that said "Happy Birthday Little Man" with a moustache on the party items.

I used The Paper Studio Moustache Patterned Paper with CTMH Desert Sand Cardstock, Bazzill Sugar Cream Cardstock and BoBunny Black Double Dot Cardstock.

The moustache was cut out with the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge. The words on the front of the invitation were stamped with a CTMH Promotional Alphabet stamp set that has no name with CTMH Black Ink.

The back of the invitation was printed out from my computer.

We had a fabulous time at TJ's Birthday Party. He was in good spirits all day and had a blast opening presents, blowing out candles, eating cake and wearing a fake moustache.

Crop & Create Challenge #3 - Beach Bums

For the third challenge that I participated in at the Crop & Create Thunder Bay, I decided to do a beach layout from my family trip to the East Coast this past summer.

The Something Old-New-Borrowed-Cool Challenge was based on a sketch and your entry was to feature a product or technique that was old from your stash, get something new at the event, borrow something from your friend and add in something that you think is cool.

Again, I didn't write down all the products that I used. I just created.

My something old was the paper line, I dug it out from my stash. I used one of my new stamp sets that I bought from Scrapbook & Cards Today. They were selling off old kits and leftover products from kits. I borrowed twine from my girlfriend Jennifer....Thank you! For my cool thing, I used beads that looked like pieces of glass on my layout to represent all the seaglass that I found during my beachcombing on my trip.

Crop & Create Challenge #2

This was a card that I made for the second challenge that I participated in at the Crop & Create Thunder Bay.

For "SCT-123" Challenge you had to use stickers, chipboard and twine along with 1 envelope, 2 pieces of cardstock and 3 pieces of patterned paper to create a beautiful "thank you" card.

I don't remember where all the papers or embellishments are from. I just had fun with participating in the challenge and I didn't bother to write anything down.

I did use Stampin' Up's New Envelope Punch Board to make the envelope on the front of my card. I love my tool!

Donna's 6 x 6 Desk Calendar - Part One

I have always wanted to make myself a calendar.

So, I decided to take the CTMH Designed Decor Flip Stand Album and remove the binder clip (it just unscrews) and add jump rings instead. This way I was able to re-punch some holes into We R Memory Keepers 6 x 6 page protectors to hang off the jump rings and still fit on the stand.

I didn't want these pages out in the open like a chipboard album. I wanted them in page protectors.

My calendar begins at October 2013 and goes until September 2014. I divided these layouts into 4 different blog posts.

These are 6 x 6 layouts. All the calendars were cut out with the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge. All the products used on these pages are from Close to My Heart.

October Layout: Huntington Paper Pack, Barn Red Cardstock, Rosewood Mini-Medley Accents Collection, Laughing Lola Cardmaking Workshop stamp set, Card Word Puzzle stamp set, Barn Red Ink, Old West Cricut Cartridge for the word "October" and Stampin' Up Early Espresso Marker.

December Layout: Sparkle & Shine Paper Pack, Slate cardstock, Ruby cardstock, Ruby Chevron Ribbon, Artbooking Collection Sweet & Lovely stamp set, Slate Ink, Artbooking Cricut Cartridge for the Journal Box, Storybook Cricut Cartridge for the word "December" and Stampin' Up Basic Gray Marker.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas Card

At the Crop & Create Thunder Bay, I was asked to be a Close to My Heart Vendor. So, I decided to come up with a simple & quick free make 'n' take to offer the participants.

The challenge I gave myself was to use up my white card bases and only use one stamp set.

I love how this turned out; especially since I have such a hard time using white.

I used one sheet of two-sided paper from CTMH's Sparkle & Shine Paper Packet with CTMH White Daisy & Juniper cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge for the sentiment on the front of the card and the banners were just cut by hand. I also cut on inch off the right side of the front of the card so that the "Ho!Ho!Ho!" would show through.

I used CTMH's Santa Claus stamp set with CTMH Juniper, Ruby & Slate Ink.

Crop & Create Challenge #1 - Pink Christmas

Wow! What a Fabulous Weekend I had with my girlfriends at the Crop & Create Thunder Bay.

We created, we shopped, we talked, we laughed and we all had a fabulous time.

I took this weekend getaway for myself and decided to take in the whole experience of the Crop & Create. For me, that meant signing up for at least one workshop & participating in as many of their challenges as possible.

One of their challenges was called The Colour Suite and if you take a look at the photo below, you can see where I got my inspiration from.

Also, Jingle Belles has a challenge going that I was able to incorporate into this card. For every Christmas Card submitted with pink in it, the ladies at Jingle Belles are going to donate $4.00 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer.

I used patterned papers from Doodle Bug's Flower Box 6 x 6 Paper Pad and Simple Stories Vintage Bliss 6 x 6 Paper Pad with CTMH Colonial White Cardstock & Stampin' Up Baked Brown Sugar Cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Sparkle Holiday Shapes, CTMH Black Sparkles and MFT Twine. I also used my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out the trees & the pennants.

I used CTMH's All the Details & Frosted Card Making Workshop stamp sets with CTMH Black Ink.

September Stamp of the Month Video

Good day!

I am still quite busy with the renovations of changing the old DAT'S store to my new Scrap Room and I haven't had time to play with any of my new CTMH products.

So, I thought I would share this CTMH Video on how to use the September Stamp of the Month on a layout and cards.
