Congratulations Shanna!

Congratulations Shanna!

Shanna's sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in August and Shanna is one of the proudest aunt's that I have ever seen (next to Brandi with my son...of course).

So, I wanted to make her a card to help her celebrate her new nephew.

I used BoBunny's Apple Cider 6 x 6 paper pad with BoBunny Chocolate Dot cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Stampin' Up Ribbon, We R Memory Keepers brads and an Action Wobble to make the shirt wobble back & forth like you are rocking a new baby.

I used My Favorite Things Girl Shirt Die-Cut with letters cut out from the Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge.

The "congratulations" on the inside of the card is from Stampin' Up's Delightful Dozen stamp set.

To see the beautiful baby boy, you can go to Shanna's blog.

Butterfly Comfort Card

I used CTMH Clementine Paper Packet with Bazzill Truffle & Prismatic Sugar Cream cardstock.

To embellish the inside of the card, I used one of Martha Stewart's Border Punches.

I used CTMH's Words of Comfort Stamp Set & CTMH's It's Your Day Stamp Set (which is CTMH's promotional stamp set for September) with CTMH's Champagne & Sorbet inks.

Love Never Melts Card with Gift Card Pocket

Here's a fun card. This card has a built in gift card pocket. I cut out the base of the card with Close to My Heart's New Artiste Cricut Cartridge.

I used BoBunny Mistletoe 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill Prismatic White & Ruby Slipper cardstock.

To embellish the card I used Queen & Co. Shamrock Green Pearls & an EK Success Border Punch.

I used CTMH's Flakey Friends Stamp Set & CTMH's Very Merry Christmas Stamp Set (which is CTMH's October Stamp of the Month) with CTMH Topiary ink.

To colour in the snowman image, I water coloured with Tim Holtz's refillable water brush, CTMH Topiary ink and Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade, Frayed Burlap & Fired Brick Distress Inks.

Wise Old Owls Birthday Card

For this card, I used CTMH's Dakota Paper Packet with Bazzill Bitter Chocolate cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used my mom' sewing machine to do a zig zag stitch in burgundy thread.

Here is my funny story. As you know, I don't have a scrap room right now and I have been borrowing tools and supplies from my family & girlfriends. I am very appreciative for all their support and generousity throughout my flood predicament.

Anyways, I used Shanna's, Jennifer's & my mom's sewing machines for three different cards and when I went to use their machines they already had the perfect colour thread in them....off white, brown & burgundy. What are the odds!?

I used CTMH's Spellbound Cricut Workshop Stamp Set & CTMH's Just a Number stamp set with Black Momento ink.

I have now used the Spellbound stamp set on two cards and neither one of them have been a Halloween card. You won't see the other card until sometime in September for the recipient's birthday isn't until then.

Our Hearts Are With You

I used CTMH La Belle Vie Paper Packet with Bazzill Kraft & London Fog cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used a Maya Road Chocolate Vintage Stick Pin, Binding Ribbon from Vintage Pixie, EK Success Medium Folk Heart Punch, EK Success Medium Corner Rounder & an EK Success Border Punch.

Until the end of August, Vintage Pixie has a 40% off sale going on throughout their entire store. This includes all their Binding Ribbon; which is normally $1.00 a yard.

I used CTMH's Jardin Flair Stamp Set & CTMH's Words of Comfort Stamp Set with CTMH Cocoa Ink. Both stamp sets are new to the Fall & Winter catalogue.

To attend our Charity Stamping Party, we ask that you R.S.V.P. by Sunday, August 26, 2012 so that we can prep appropriately. For more information, please go to DAT'S Scrapbooking's blog.

Scarecrow Thank You Card

For this card I used Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill London Fog.

To embellish the card, I used Shanna's sewing machine and did a straight stitch with an off white thread, Basic Grey Button, Wraphia from my stash, miscellaneous flower & twine.

The stamp sets I used are CTMH's A Little Thanks and CTMH's Fall Favorites - September's Stamp of the Month.

As most of you know, I have been living with my parents since the flood on May 28th. In June, their shower broke, so we had to shower in their trailer parked in the drive way or at my grandparent's apartment.

At the beginning of August, their dryer broke and it took about 3 weeks to fix. So, one evening while Shanna was out of town, I went to her house to dry clothes. While my clothes were drying I made this card.

I picked this card to do there so that I could use her copic markers, but when I got there and saw the Tim Holtz Distress Markers sitting out, I quickly changed my mind. This was my first time using them and I had fun.

I stamped my image with Momento Black Ink on Copic White paper. I coloured the image in with the distress markers. I then took Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink Pad and rubbed it over my image and the white space around it.

I then crumpled my paper up to give it more of a worn look and voila!

Tim Holtz Distress Markers and Inks are made not to muddy each other but maintain their colour when mixed. That is why I was able to change the white background paper with the Antique Linen Ink Pad.

If you love this stamp set as much as I do, you can order it at our Charity Stamping Party on August 30th. We are placing the Close to My Heart order on September 1st so that we can purchase the September Stamp of the Month instead of August's Stamp of the Month.

Enjoy the Ride Birthday Card

DAT'S IS OPENING FOR ONE DAY!

Wednesday, August 29, 2012
12:00 - 5:00 p.m.

We still don't know when we will be able to move back home & open the store back to regular store hours, but the air quality test came back all clear. All the mould is gone and we are now waiting for our shower to be put back in to be able to move back home.

For this card, I used Basic Grey's Paper Cottage 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill London Fog cardstock and Stampin' Up Sahara Sand cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used the straight stitch on my friend, Jennifer's, sewing machine with brown thread.

I used CTMH's It's Your Day Stamp Set; which is the Promotional Stamp Set that you can get for $5.00 when you place a $35.00 order with CTMH in the month of August & September in celebration of National Stamping Month.

I also used Stampin' Up's Wacky Wishes Hostess Stamp Set for the sentiment on the inside of the card with Stampin' Up Early Espresso ink.

If you would like to get this promotional stamp set, you can place an order with Shanna at the Charity Stamping Party on August 30th. For more information about the Charity Stamping Party, please go to DAT'S Scrapbooking's blog.

You're the Best!

Here I go again, another card with the New CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge. My best-friend, Shanna, is a CTMH Consultant and she received her CTMH order of products from the new CTMH catalogue that started in August just before she had to go out of town.

Ahhhhh shucks! Guess who got all of her new stuff to play with while she's out of town?

That's right....me and I am loving every minute of it. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to get all my ideas down on paper. That is how much I am inspired right now.

For this card I used BoBunny's Serenade 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill Black Prismatic cardstock, BoBunny Paprika and Almond Double Dot cardstock.

I used an EK Success Photo Corner Punch and the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge to make the rosette, the banner and the circle cut-outs.

I used CTMH's Cricut Artiste Collection Kudos & Birthday Stamp Sets (these are two of the stamp sets that come with the cartridge) with Stampin' Up Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade & Basic Black Ink.

I hope to see you at the Charity Stamping Party. For more information, please go to DAT'S Scrapbooking's blog.

Hi!

I am having so much fun with Close to My Heart's New Cricut Cartridge - Artiste.

When you purchase the cartridge you get three fabulous stamp sets with the cartridge. The speech bubble I used is on one of them.

I used BoBunny's Ambrosia 6 x 6 paper pack with BoBunny Turquoise Double Dot cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Stampin' Up Brights Designer Buttons & Stampin' Up Linen Thread. I also used one of EK Success' border punches and Stampin' Up's Curly Label Punch.

The stamp sets I used were CTMH's Cricut Artiste Collection Word Balloons Stamp Set, Stampin' Up Perfect Punch Stamp Set and Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and I stamped with Stampin' Up's Wild Wasabi Ink.

I hope to see you at our Charity Stamping Party on Thursday, August 30th. For more information, please go to DAT'S Scrapbooking's blog.

You Make me Smile

For this card, I used CTMH's Artiste Cricut Cartridge with one of the stamp sets that comes with it: Cricut Artiste Collection Word Balloons with Stampin' Up Wild Wasabi Ink.

Funny enough the "Happy Birthday" stamp that I used from Stampin' Up's Perfect Punches stamp set fit into the Cricut speech bubble cut-out from Close to My Heart.

I used BoBunny's Ambrosia 6 x 6 paper pack with Bobunny Turquoise Double Dot cardstock. I also used one of EK Success' Large Border Punches to embellish the card.

This card and all the cards that I have made recently will be on display at the Charity Stamping Party. For more information, please go to DAT'S Scrapbooking's blog.

Happy Birthday Jennifer!

Yesterday was my girlfriend, Jennifer's, birthday and my friend Krista and I spent the day scrapbooking with her.

Amy and I made up these cupcakes for Jennifers birthday using Close to My Heart's New Cricut Cartridge - Artiste.

This new cricut cartridge has 20 different cupcake holder designs for all occasions. We made the "Happy Birthday" one for obvious reasons and the "Fall Leaf" one because she loves the Fall.

The rosette, the circle & the decorative circle were all cut out using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge. Jennifer's favourite colour is orange and she loves Fall, so I used brown as the accent colour.

The "Happy Birthday" stamp I used was from CTMH's Party Pennant stamp set and stamped with Stampin' Up Basic Brown Ink.

There is still time to sign up for the Charity Stamping Party, for more information please go to DAT'S Scrapbooking's blog.

Noel

After finishing my CTMH Advent Calendar (previous post), I had a few chipboard frames leftover and decided to make a couple Christmas Cards with them.

I used My Mind's Eye's Winter Wonderland 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill Intense Kiwi cardstock & leftover CTMH Cranberry Cardstock from the Workshops on the Go Advent Calendar Kit.

To embellish the card, I used the leftover chipboard frames from the CTMH Advent Calendar Kit and Zva Creative Rhinestones. Since most of my punches are buried in my living room right now, I used the new CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge to cut out the circles behind the frames and an EK Success border punch to enhance the strip of paper on the front of the card.

The stamp set I used was CTMH's Christmas Love and I stamped with CTMH Cranberry ink.

The heart, swirl & snowflakes on the inside of the card were cut from one of the papers from inside the Winter Wonderland paper pad. There was a sheet of paper with a house in the corner and this was the "smoke" coming out of the chimney. I trimmed the paper so that I would have a nice design on the inside of my card.

There is still space available at our Charity Stamping Pajama Party. For more information, please go to my DAT'S Scrapbooking blog or email me at ddigby@shaw.ca.

CTMH Advent Calendar

My daughter, Amy & I enjoyed an afternoon of scrapbooking together. We haven't done this in probably over a year.

I worked on the Close to My Heart Advent Calendar. What a great, quick & useful project.

Amy spent some time yesterday picking out the colour pattern for the boxes and its frames. Then I spent approximately 3 hours today stamping and putting the drawers together.

We have decided to make this Grandma Chris' Christmas Present. She loves to do puzzles. So, we are going to turn a photo of Amy & TJ together into a puzzle. Every day starting December 1st she will get a puzzle piece or two. Then on Christmas morning she will have a completed puzzle of her grandchildren.

My mother-in-law doesn't have a computer or know how to work one, so she won't see this post.

Materials used:
CTMH's Workshops on the Go Advent Calendar Kit
Cricut Artiste Collection Cartridge
Black Staz On Ink
Scoring Blade
Zig Glue Pen

In the kit, you get the stamp set to stamp out the fancy frames within the chipboard colourful frames and the numbers. You have to use the Staz On ink because the paper is a bit glossy and the CTMH Black ink pad wouldn't dry quickly enough. I tried it on a scrap piece of paper.

The New CTMH Cricut Artiste Cartridge is AMAZING!!!

There is a font on it. Fabulous dies that you can't see on the back of the box and the stamp sets that come with it are FABULOUS too!!!

If you want to get your hands on any of the products used in this post or any CTMH or Stampin' Up products......come on out to our
