Have a Purr-fect Day!

Here I begin my new challenge. Use one whole 6 x 6 patterned paper pack to make a variety of cards. I am almost done. So, far I have made Birthday cards, Valentine's Day cards, Anniversary cards and I have an idea for some Thinking of You cards to finish off the pack of paper. I was able to make a total of 4 of these cards for my stash.

I used SEI's Corinne 6 x 6 paper pack with Bazzill Lily Pond & Sea Salt cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used We R Memory Keepers Sew Ribbon Aqua - Misty Morn ribbon and Kaiser Craft Ice Green Pearls. I also used EK Success' Medium Corner Rounder and Labels 17 Nestability.

The cat image stamp is Mavis has a Daisy from Stamping Bella. The sentiment stamps are from CC Designs Critter Sentiments stamp set and stamped with Stampin' Up Old Olive Ink.

Copic Markers used: Cat - T2 & T0; Green Dress - YG61 & T0; Nose - T5; Teal Background - G000 & T0.

Sweet as Apple Pie

I am really trying to use up my 6 x 6 pads of paper. I own a scrapbooking store, so you can imagine how many I own. I am also trying to get ahead on cards so that I may actually get to a personal scrapbooking project one of these days. So, I have made up a total of 6 of these cards.

The patterned papers are from Jillibean Soup Apple Cheddar Soup & Homemade 6 Bean Soup 6 x 6 pads of paper, the cardstock is Bazzill Pollen & Intense Kiwi and Stampin' Up Riding Hood Red.

To embellish the card, I used Doodlebug brads and a KI Memories paper clip. The die-cuts were made with the Classic Ovals Small & Large Nestabilities and an EK Success Medium photo corner punch.

The image stamp is called Honey Teacher and it is from CC Designs, the sentiment on the front of the card is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Abigail Apple stamp set and the inside sentiment is from my stash and doesn't have a name on it.

Copic Markers used: Apple - R24, R46 & E08; Skin - E00 & E000; Hair & Shoes - E47, E49 & E44; Leaf - YG23, W0 & YG25; Yellow - Y35 & Y11; Orange - YR16, YR15, Y38 & W1

Birthday Wishes Masculine

Look familiar?

I am telling you, I loved this design and the papers in this paper pack kept working well with the design, so I kept going with it. So, I have 6 of this one in my stash as well.

This one is more masculine to me and like most, I find masculine cards more difficult to do. Generally speaking, you are limited as to what you can place on the card without making it feminine.

The patterned papers are from Basic Grey's Little Black Dress 6 x 6 paper pad and the cardstock is Bazzill Bitter Chocolate, Tawny Medium & Sugar Cream.

The brads are from my stash and the ribbon is from Stampin' Up's old Taffeta 3/8" Ribbon line.

The stamps are from CC Designs Great Greetings stamp set and I used an EK Success border punch on the inside of the card.

Birthday Wishes Two

Why re-invent the wheel?

I sometimes get hung up on having a different card for everyone and why? I designed the card, I put time & effort into making it, isn't that good enough? Well, the answer is yes.

My life is busy just like everyone else's life. It is important to me to let the ones that I know & love that I am thinking of them on their birthday or holidays. So, I don't want to give up on sending out cards, I just want to make it less stressful on me.

Making a different card for everyone that I know takes a lot of time & effort and then I don't get to work on any projects for myself. So, I have let go of personalizing every card I make and it feels good. I have 6 of this one in my stash.

This card is the same style as my previous post. I just used different papers from the same paper pad and I embellished this card a little differently.

The patterned papers are from Basic Grey's Little Black Dress 6 x 6 paper pad and the cardstock is Bazzill London Fog & Quick Sand.

I used CTMH Basic Assortment Brads and Lace Tape to embellish the card.

The stamps are from CC Designs Great Greetings stamp set and I used an EK Success border punch on the inside of the card.

Birthday Wishes

This was the card that I made for my mom from her parents (my grandparents). I loved it so much that I made 6 in total.

The patterned papers are from Basic Grey's Little Black Dress 6 x 6 paper pad and the cardstock is Bazzill Bitter Chocolate, Carob & Tawny Medium.

To embellish this card I used some miscellaneous brads from my stash and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sketchbook Tissue Tape.

The stamps used on this card are from CC Designs Great Greetings stamp set and I used one of EK Success' border punches to spruce up the inside of the card.

I really love how this card turned out. It is simple, but classy. The other great thing about this card is that I made it in less than an hour (that includes picking out the paper, stamps & embellishments). Then it only took me approximately 1.5 hours to reproduce another 5 of these cards.

My birthday card stash pile has never been this big! It helps that my husband is off on maternity leave for 9 months and he loves hanging out with his son to give me time in my scrap room.

Happy Birthday Mom!

It's my mom's birthday today and this is the card I made her. She loves butterflies and the colour blue. The photo does this card no justice, but we haven't had much sun lately and this was the best shot I could get in the lighting I had.

The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hattie 6 x 6 paper pad and Basic Grey's Marjolaine 6 x 6 paper pad and I used Bitter Chocolate Bazzill cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used We R Memory Keepers' Ribbon Tool to lace through the American Craft Ribbon. The brads are from Making Memories and I used the Standard Small Circle, Standard Large Circle & the Butterflies Circles Nestabilities for my die-cuts.

I am really loving the new We R Memory Keepers Sew Ribbon - Ribbon Tool. I also used it on my February Calendar Page and I find that this tool is fabulous for cards and layouts.

The main stamped image is Lulu Collection - Gertie from Stamping Bella. The "Happy Birthday" is from CTMH Happy Birthday stamp set and the sentiment is from Whipper Snapper.

Copic Markers used: Teal - BG72, G21 & C1; Green - YG95 & YG01; Blue - B97 & C6; Skin - R000 & R0000

We celebrated my mom's birthday at my grandparents' apartment on Sunday with a spaghetti supper and shuffle board. I stole my best-friend's (Shanna) spaghetti sauce recipe and made the sauce from scratch. Yes....ME! I prepared supper for my family on Sunday and it turned out great!

Dog-Gone Special Birthday Card

I wanted to play some more with my new Kraftin' Kimmie dog stamps and I came up with this design. I loved it so much, that I made a total of eight cards to have on hand in my stash.

I used the We R Memory Keepers 6 x 6 Friends Furever paper pad with Bazzill Mocha Divine & Navel cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon & Pumpkin Pie brads from their "Brights Brad" collection. I also used brown thread with the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine and the Reverse Wonky Rectangle Nestability to frame the main dog image.

The dog image is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Canine Capers 2 stamp set, the "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from CTMH's Say It in Style stamp set and the main sentiment is from CC Designs Critter Sentiment stamp set.

Copic Markers used: Dog - E37; Nose - E29; Tongue - R29, E09, E07 & E08; Collar - BG99; Dog Tag - YR23.

My husband celebrated his 37th birthday on January 2. I have been dying to play with my new Kraftin' Kimmie dog stamps and decided this was a good time to ink them up. As most of you know, we are dog lovers, so this card is very appropriate for my husband.

I used We R Memory Keepers 6 x 6 Friends Furever paper pack with Bazzill Spring Willow Medium & Mocha Divine cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Making Memories brads, brown thread with the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine & Nestabilities Labels Fourteen to frame the main stamped image.

The dog image & the sentiments on the front of the card are from Kraftin' Kimmie's Canine Capers 1 stamp set. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment on the inside of the card is from CTMH's Happy Birthday stamp set.

Copic Markers used: Dog - E37; Nose - E29; Cat - R29, E09 & E08; Cat's Eyes - YG95, YG01 & W0; Cat's Ears - YR14 & E23; Yellow Background - YR23
