Happy Easter!

The verdict isn't back yet, but I think I am crazy.

Here is my simple, nice Easter Card that I made this year to mail out to my friends and family. I got to play with my Cuttlebug for the first time with not only a texture template, but one of my new Nestabilities as well. I coloured with my copic markers, I used 2 of my Stampin' Up punches that I had only used once before. I even used my new stamps that I had ordered from CC Designs. I kept it flat so that I didn't have to put extra postage on it when mailing it, but I forgot how many I had to make.

After cutting out 95 bunnies, 95 benches & 190 Easter eggs and gluing all the layers and small pieces, I began to wonder if I was a little off my rocker!

But, I still love this card and now that they are all done, I love them even more.

I have had a couple of rough years with a lot going on. So, I haven't been doing any scrapbooking except for my workshops. I have even stop making cards for people this year because I just don't have the time to do it.

So, I did have a lot of fun playing with all my new tools & stamps. I even got to use up the 25 sheets of Doodlebug Easter paper that came damaged 2 years ago and damaged cardstock that I have had for a while. It's great when you can use up scraps!

I wish you all an Easter Weekend filled with memories to last a lifetime.

Mother's Day Card Workshop

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 - FULL
Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: $7.00

For April's Card Workshop, we will be making this Mother's Day Card. If you don't have a use for a Mother's Day Card, this card can easily be made into a thinking of you card or birthday card for any of your friends. The only thing that makes this a Mother's Day Card is the verse on the inside of the card.

We will be using BoBunny's Two-Sided St. Nick Sleigh patterned paper, Bazzill Smooth Sawdust Cardstock, a Bazzill Bling flower, KaiserCraft Copper Pearls, Bazzill Flourishes Stitchz Template & EK Success' Scroll & Dots Edger Punch.

For the word "friend" on the front of the card, I cut the letters out from the Cricut Cartridge "A Child's Year" and the cream embroidery floss is from WAL-MART or Fabricland. For the verse on the inside, I designed it on my computer and printed it out on the Sawdust Cardstock.

Registration for this card and all the other Spring Workshops at DAT'S Scrapbooking begins at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.

Easter Card Workshop

Wednesday, March 03, 2010 - FULL
Time: 7:00 p.m. Cost: $7.00

The above photo is how you would send your Easter Card to that special person in your life. After that special person receives the card, they untie the bow and...
..the card unfolds to sit like this.

The two-sided patterned papers that I used on this card are from We R Memory Keepers New Hippity Hoppity line. I used Rainbow's End, Polka, Sun Rays, Easter Tree & Juicy. For the base of the card, I used Core'dinations Grassroots cardstock.

For the die cuts on this card, I used Curved Rectangles Spellbinders Nestabilities and the Easter Cricut Cartridge. Cutter Bee scissors to cut the slits for the grass effect and the Making Memories Ribbon Slot Punch at the back of the card to feed the ribbon through.

The stamps used on this card are from Close to My Heart's Togetherness, Happy Easter & Smiles stamp sets. To add the exclamation mark after "Happy Easter", I just grabbed one from a CTMH promotional alphabet set that has no name on it. I also used Stamping Bella's Content-to-be-a-bella stamp.

I used Momento Black Ink to stamp the bella image on Bella White Paper. CTHM Black ink & Stampin' Up Melon Mambo Ink for the rest of my stamping.

The Copic Markers that I used to colour Bella with are: N0, Y19 & YR65 for the big daisy. E35 for her hair. W3 & YG03 for her shirt. R000 for her skin. C1 & B000 for the daisy in her hair, pants & shoes.

The ribbon is Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon.

Happy Easter!
